Paris is an almost incredibly cosmopolitan city, and as a result it is becoming harder and harder to tie down exactly what "Parisian cuisine" really is. Of course the "classics" are still popular, especially among the more traditionally-minded chefs and their customers, but more and more Asian and African influences are being felt in all walks of Parisian life, and cooking is no exception.

Drink for a Parisian Themed Party

Paris is famous for its cafés and its wine bars, so there are plenty of options drinks-wise for a Paris themed party. Coffee, hot chocolate, wine (red, white, rosé or sparkling) and French lager are all great ideas, as are Pernod or Ricard. France is probably most famous for its wines; it is one of the world's top 3 wine producers, and has a history of wine-making that stretches back to the 6th century BC. Fortunately, it is not difficult to track down good quality French wines in most supermarkets.

Similarly, French beer is easily obtained. The best known brand is undoubtedly Kronenbourg , but Kasteel Cru is also popular.
